1 – Respect your body – Not feeling it today? Ease off the effort and listen to your body. Not every day will be your best.
2 – Move gradually and mindfully – Take care to listen for alignment cues that will help put your body in the correct position.
3 – Don’t force anything – If you are feeling soreness or even pain, there is no value in pushing through that, see point #1.
4 – Finish one pose before starting another – This is especially important during flow yoga classes when poses are sequenced purposefully.
4 – Only hold a pose for as long as you are comfortable – When you fall out of a pose, take a moment to compose yourself before rejoining.
